In this day and age, you must know "Self Defense",
So I took up Karate. To me, it made good sense.
I attained the highest level, and got my "Black Belt".
You can't imagine the power, and superiority I felt.
.At last I was prepared, to face almost any foe.
No one would even dare to test what I now know.
I met a gang of kids, who were looking for a fight.
I let out my Karate yell, and they fled into the night.
That had worked so well, it made me feel real good.
Thinking, I could whip a bear, I went off into the woods.
I found a great big Grizzly, and let out my Karate yell.
The last time I saw him, he was fleeing down the trail.
When I headed home, it was getting kinda late.
I was anxious to tell my wife. I couldn't hardly wait.
When I walked in the door, she yelled "Where have you been?"
I let out my Karate yell. She clobbered me with her rolling-pin.
While laying in the hospital, reflecting on my plight.
I knew I needed another way, to balance out the fight.
I came to the conclusion, and there was only one,
Instead of my Karate, I bought myself a gun.
Now, I carry it with me, when I go out on the streets,
Just in case by chance, a mugger I should meet.
I know my home is safe. At least, 'til I get back.
No Intruder can withstand, my wife's rolling-pin attack.
