Spring At Last!

The Signs of Spring are everywhere.
A new season has now begun.
Beautiful flowers turn their faces,
to greet the smiling sun.
New life springs forth all around,
enjoying the warmth of day.
Winter's chill are soon forgotten,
as squirrels come out to play.
The sunrise every morning now,
is a beauty to behold.
The radiance of the eastern sky,
is beyond what can be told.
Dew sparkling in morning's light,
more glorious than the finest gems.
Daffodils stand tall and straight,
on smooth and tender stems.
Bees visit the hordes of flowers,
since the days are bright and sunny.
They're gathering God's gifts once more,
and are busy making their honey.
Birds are singing in the trees,
sounding their mating calls.
All nature teems with life,
from morn 'til twilight falls.
I've gained some weight since last Fall,
the doctor says I should lose.
The wife says "Don't worry doc",
I've got some "Honey Do's";
Planting, weeding and trimming trees,
mowing grass and a few other things.
So I guess I better close for now.
Now you know why I dread Spring!
